SIXTYFRICKINTWO DAMMIT!) is a huge fan of them (H.S.A.S., Van Hagar) and has formed another one with his buddy Michael Anthony (Age 56, from Van Halen). This group is called CHICKENFOOT and they bring good ole Rock & Roll back HARD. Also in the band is Joe Satriani (Age 54, Guitar God) and Chad Smith (Age 48, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer).

Damn, why does everyone have to be so friggin pissy on Mondays? Yeah, yeah... it is the start of the week. Yeah, people are tired from partying/playing with fam/working in yard/etc. But fuck a duck... some people need to recognize when to stay in the bed and save the rest of humanity from dealing with their whiny ass.

Shit, I was not in a perky state of mind today either. However, I remembered something halfway through the day. I got laid this weekend. Repeatedly. ON. THE. HIGHWAY. So, that cheered me up right the fuck away. Everyone has something that happens over the weekend to make them happy. For some it is seeing a friend who you haven't seen in a while. For others, it is living it up in the bar with everyone they see. For others it is a puppy. Hell who cares. Just enjoy it and let Monday go as smoothly as fucking possible so we can all get through it without much effort.

But yeah, bucket list items being cleared? Perfect way to smile through Monday hehehehe.....

VAN HALEN - "Hot For Teacher"

New Album/Tour From Van Halen Coming

One of the greatest rock bands in history, Van Halen, is actually recording a new album. Now, this is ALMOST the original line up - Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Diamond David Lee Roth, and Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen. The missing piece is original bassist Michael Anthony.

I am interested in seeing if Wolfgang contributes anything to the creative process - I very much doubt it. Anthony is a SOLID bassist and has the backing vocal abilities that make him a valuable member of his current band, Chickenfoot, with former solo artist and Van Halen Frontman Sammy Hagar.

This version of Van Halen is the same one that went on tour together back in 2008. So, they HAD to have bonded somewhat in order to pull that off. Roth's voice can NOT reach the highs it did back in the 70's and 80's, but should not be expected to. In actuality, he is not a great singer. He is a performer. If he can perform the new songs well, they might be able to make this work.

Football Returns! Well, Sort Of...

I am going to be completely honest, I only watched part of this ugly as hell game. I don't get too wrapped up in alot of the pre-season games. Because they are PRE-SEASON! There is really nothing that the average fan can glean from the game itself. Those who live and breathe football, who study stat sheets, who can break down game tape, play fantasy football, they can get more out of the games. I am on the fringe of the latter category, but really don't care much about the pre-season.

For one thing, the Cowboys couldn't figure out that you need to RUN THE DAMN BALL when you are on the 2 yard line. Especially when you have, as the illustrious Herm Edwards described, "The Largest Offensive Line In Captivity." YOU RUN THE DAMN BALL.

The Bengals looked shaky. The defense might be something to contend with if Pac-Man holds up to what he showed last night.

I dunno... do you get into pre-season?
