This is completely bad ass... I love mash ups and this is truly interesting. Usually, when someone does a mash up, they simply merge the recordings of two or more songs by sampling and overdubbing. This group, Rock Sugar, has gone about it a whole new way. These guys are actually playing two songs intermingled. There is an entire album of these songs out there, but for some reason their site store is having issues. Until you can grab it yourself, check it out on YouTube!

Supergroups... some people love 'em, others hate 'em. Sammy Hagar (Age 62... SIXTYFRICKINTWO DAMMIT!) is a huge fan of them (H.S.A.S., Van Hagar) and has formed another one with his buddy Michael Anthony (Age 56, from Van Halen). This group is called CHICKENFOOT and they bring good ole Rock & Roll back HARD. Also in the band is Joe Satriani (Age 54, Guitar God) and Chad Smith (Age 48, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer).

New Album/Tour From Van Halen Coming
One of the greatest rock bands in history, Van Halen, is actually recording a new album. Now, this is ALMOST the original line up - Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Diamond David Lee Roth, and Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen. The missing piece is original bassist Michael Anthony.
I am interested in seeing if Wolfgang contributes anything to the creative process - I very much doubt it. Anthony is a SOLID bassist and has the backing vocal abilities that make him a valuable member of his current band, Chickenfoot, with former solo artist and Van Halen Frontman Sammy Hagar.
This version of Van Halen is the same one that went on tour together back in 2008. So, they HAD to have bonded somewhat in order to pull that off. Roth's voice can NOT reach the highs it did back in the 70's and 80's, but should not be expected to. In actuality, he is not a great singer. He is a performer. If he can perform the new songs well, they might be able to make this work.
