MTV was born 29 effing years ago today. Now granted, back in those days, the "M" stood for MUSIC, not MEDIOCRE programming. But still, it revolutionized television, music and entertainment industries on a whole scale level. Seriously, think about it. Michael Jackson's Thriller, The Headbanger's Ball, Downtown Julie Brown, Mark Goodman, Nina Blackwood, Alan Hunter, Adam Curry (he of the incredible Bon Jovi Tribute Hair) and so many other iconic figures.
